MEDICAL CASES
Started from 1992 Nishkam has provided financial assistance to scores of needy patients from a number of states of India needing surgeries of heart , kidney and various other types by raising funds in each case and then making payments through cheques to various government hospitals where surgeries were performed.
On 6th September, 1985 when Nishkam had contributed a token amount of Rs. 500 for the open heart surgery of Kasiraman, nobody would have thought that 10 year after the date, Nishkam will be in the process of taking up the case of 3½ year old Sukhmani, born with cranio-facial abnormalities and requiring surgery in USA, the cost of first major surgery being Rs. 14 lakh (US$40000). With His blessings and the support of entire humanity, Nishkam not only got Rs. 14 lakhs, between 15th October, 1995 and 30th November, 2005, which enabled Sukhmani and her parents to go to New York on 3rd December, 2005, but further got Rs. 7 Lakhs, which also it paid for her further surgery. The surgery of Sukhmani is still continuing.
Nishkam has taken up a number of medical cases to save lives of young people including Om Parkash Soni, Smt. Sukhvinder Kaur, Smt. Sobha Nanda, Rakesh Lal Sah, Sukhmani, Naresh Kumar Abrol, Blessy, Yashpal, Karthikeya, Ravinder Kaur, Kapil, Amarpreet Singh, Mehraj Bano, Ms. Kamal Kapoor, Sukhwant Singh, Sh. R. Srinivasan, Gurpreet Kaur, Navpreet Singh, Kuldeep Singh etc. and provided assistance of more than Rs. 50 lakhs for medical treatment/surgery. Lately funds have been mobilized/support provided for the surgery of Meena Devi of Bihar, Gurcharan Singh and Darshan Kaur of Delhi, Vidyavarat Verma of U.P. and Manjit Singh and Tarlochan Singh of Punjab, and Mrs. Ranjit Kaur of Delhi. Assistance has also been provided to Master Dhruv of Delhi, who was suffering from a kind of curable cancer and S. Balwant Singh of Delhi, who was suffering from Rheumatic Heart Disease. S. Avtar Singh of Noida (U.P.) for heart surgery, 19 years old Sh. Bhagwan Singh of Lucknow (U.P.) and 43 year old S. Baljeet Singh of Nippani of Karnataka, 44 years old Sh. Davinder Singh of Varanasi (U.P.) for heart surgery.
