Financial Assistance to Needy Families
Nishkam is providing cash assistance to about 85 needy families affected due to violence in Punjab. This assistance is limited to availability of funds provided by sponsors. This project is running properly for the last 8 years. |

Council seeks sponsors who are desirous of sponsoring such families by donating equivalent of US$ 15 to US $25 per month (to be paid at least quarterly). The sponsors will be provided bio-data of the sponsored family. Now the project of providing financial assistance to poor families has been extended to J & K and needy Sikligar families of Karnataka. |
Financial assistance is provided to these families on quarterly /half-yearly basis and cases are reviewed periodically to avoid misuse of funds. |

* Project of Mata Gujri Sukh Niwas (Old-Age Home & Orphanage) registered under section 35AC.
Donations to this project eligible for 100% exemption for donors in India.
* Registered with Government of India for receiving donations in foreign currency from abroad.
* Registered with Government of India for receiving donations in kind under the Indo-US/UK/Swiss/German/Swedish Agreements.
* Registered under Section 12A(a) of Income Tax Act, 1961. Donations eligible for exemption under section 80-G in India. |
